Lindsey Smith, known as the Food Mood Girl, is a nationally recognized author, health coach, dynamic speaker, wellness icon, and rapper (you read that right) devoted to helping everyone live a more vibrant life through self-love and guilt-free living.

Affected by anxiety from a young age, Lindsey reached out to coaches and mentors to help her reduce negativity and toxic thinking from her life.

The rest is history.

Author of “Junk Foods & Junk Moods,” “52 Ways to Love Your Body More,” and “Food Guilt No More,” Lindsey believes in a holistic approach to health. That a well-balanced life involves eating your veggies and occasionally indulging in that double chocolate brownie.  She’s here to help you find your empowered, kind, and fearless inner voice.

Lindsey has been featured on the Lisa Oz Show, MindBodyGreen, CBS News, and in Girl’s Life and Shape magazines, and is a regular fixture in the media in her native Pittsburgh.

When she isn’t traveling across the U.S. to share her tips for more positive thinking, eating, and living, you can find Lindsey sipping down kale smoothies, laying down a rap, or playing fetch with her ever cute and energetic adopted pup, Winnie Cooper!

Get to know Lindsey and find out how to boost your capacity for self-love at www.FoodMoodGirl.com.

This was such a quality episode. Lindsey has suffered from panic attacks, shyness, emotional eating, and low self-esteem. Learn how she turned all of this around to loving her selfie. How she evolved by taking responsibility for her life and evolved to being The Food Mood Girl, doing a Ted-X talk, starting her own publishing company, and having a life and a body she loves.

I love this statement from Lindsey’s Ted-X talk. “With a selfie you seek the world’s approval , with self-love the only person you have to prove anything to is yourself.”

In this episode you will learn

  • Change the negative messaging in your head
  • How we can have better body confidence
  • The difference between loving your selfie and self-love
  • How to confidently combat people who suck
  • Setting boundaries can protect you from energy vampires and takers
  • Surrounding yourself with the right core group of people
  • The difference between narcissism and self-love
  • Turning negatives into positive by taking ownership
  • Without the rain you won't have the beauty of flowers
