In this episode I share my Grand Canyon Vision. Good goals stretch you. Can you imagine being stretched over the Grand Canyon one foot is on your old goals and the other foot is on your new goals. You will sooner or later have to choose which side you want to be on. The side of your comfort zone or the life of your dreams. You can’t straddle the fence forever, besides it’s not effective. Not choosing makes you ineffective. If your not solid on a choice you won't have any direction. You have to let go of the old to make room for the new.
What do you need to let go of to move forward? We are geared to be afraid of loss. We are afraid to lose 5 dollars even if we gain 10 dollars. We are afraid to lose the five because our brains are geared this way. Sometimes you have to lose to gain.
Questions I Asked:
What excess weight are you carrying?
What can you let go of that’s weighing you down?
What no longer serves you?
Topics Discussed:
Things we could consider on the list of things to cut loose
Let go of perfection
Let go of who you have always been
Let go of who you used to be
Let go people's expectations and judgement
Let go toxic relationships
Things that weigh us down:
Limited beliefs
False narratives
Bad habits
Emotional baggage
